Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Junior Engineer (Mining) position, candidates must meet the following mandatory educational qualification:
- Mandatory Qualification: A 3-year Diploma in Mining Engineering from a University or Institution recognized by UGC/AICTE/Government of India.
Candidates possessing higher qualifications than the prescribed essential qualification are not eligible. Proof of qualification is required during the online application and at the time of Document Verification. A Foreman’s Certificate of Competency for metalliferous mines is considered a desirable qualification and will be an added advantage.
Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Age Limit & Relaxation
The maximum age limit for applicants is 50 years as of the last date for online application submission (06.05.2026). Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Government of India rules:
- General (UR / EWS): Maximum 50 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (Maximum 53 years)
- SC / ST: 5 years relaxation (Maximum 55 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines.
Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of ₹250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) is applicable to all candidates. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and Departmental categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be offered a consolidated pay of ₹60,000/- per month. The remuneration may be increased by up to 5% annually based on performance. Additional benefits include House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable, TA/DA for official tours, Accidental Group Insurance, and outpatient medical expenses up to ₹35,000/- per annum for self-treatment. Candidates are entitled to 12 days of Casual Leave and 20 days of Medical Leave per calendar year.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Junior Engineer (Mining) post will involve a Supervisory Skill Assessment conducted by a committee. Candidates will initially undergo Document Verification, and only those whose documents are found to be in order will be considered for the subsequent assessment.
