Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements as of 03.10.2026:
- Option A: B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing, or regular B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute, along with registration as a Nurse/Midwife with a State Nursing Council.
- Option B: Diploma in General Nursing and Mid-wifery (GNM) from a recognized board, registration as a Nurse/Midwife, and one year of experience in a minimum fifty-bedded hospital.
Age Limit & Relaxation
The age limit for applicants is 18 to 35 years as of 03.10.2026. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Central Govt. Employees: Up to 5-10 years depending on category.
- PGIMER Permanent Employees: 10 years.
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1500/- plus transaction charges.
- SC/ST: Rs. 800/- plus transaction charges.
- PwBD: Exempted from fee payment.
Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level-7 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with a monthly salary range of Rs. 44,900 – 142,400/-.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT) comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The exam duration is 100 minutes, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. There is no interview for this post.
